Travis Scott has a lot to be proud of! The “Butterfly Effect” rapper hosted a pop-up event with General Mills in Paris on Tuesday, June 25, in honor of his recent collaboration with Reese’s Puffs – his favorite breakfast food. Though the limited-edition boxes (which came in an acrylic case) cost $50, they still sold out in less than 30 seconds!
The launch, which the 28-year-old attended, featured dozens of his special-edition boxes of the candy-inspired cereal. It also boasted special Reese’s swag which, like the cereal boxes, is already sold out. The pop-up came one day after Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, formally announced his joint venture with Reese’s Puffs.
As part of the collaboration, the musician was tasked with designing his own version of the Reese’s Puffs box. For his take on the cereal container, the Grammy nominee was inspired by Cactus Jack Records, the label imprint he founded in 2017, and Astroworld, his third studio album. That’s why each limited-edition box boasts cacti and a photo of the rapper wielding a Cactus Jack-branded spoon in front of a bowl of Reese’s Puffs.
The boxes also features the cereal’s name in brown and yellow letters outlined in orange (keeping with Reese’s traditional color scheme) but the letters are shiny, not matte.
