Samuel Haskell Jr.'s Hollywood talent agent father was accused of 'bullying' and 'slut-shaming' Miss America contestants to the brink of suicide - with one of his 'victims' opening up about his 'psychological warfare' in a chilling documentary aired just months before his son was arrested and charged with the murder of a woman believed to be his wife.

Former Miss America Mallory Hagen spoke out against the Haskell family in an A&E documentary that aired back in July - four months before Haskell Jr, 35 was arrested on following the grisly discovery of a dismembered woman's torso in a Topanga, California, dumpster.

Haskell’s wife, Mei Haskell, 37, and her parents — mother Yanxiang Wang, 64, and father Gaoshan Li, 72 — had been reported missing before the gruesome find this week and remain missing as of Friday.

Haskell Jr, is the son of Sam Haskell — a powerful former Hollywood agent that ruled over the Miss America pageant with an iron fist until he was ousted in 2017 for sending misogynistic emails that called former contestants 'forever c**ts' and in one particularly disturbing email, laughed at the suggestion that one of the women should die.

While Haskell Sr. touts himself as 'the nice guy in Hollywood' on his website, multiple former Miss America contestants recently came forward in an A&E docuseries, accusing him of 'playing God' while cultivating a toxic culture of hatred towards women in the organization.

In the explosive series, 'Secrets of Miss America,' Hagen - who was crowned Miss America in 2013 - reveals how she was left suicidal from Haskell's ruthless campaign of terror.

For Hagen, winning the pageant was a dream come true at first.

'It was the culmination of 11 years of hard work,' she said, but things quickly took a dark turn, she explains in the doc.

'I was not prepared for the insanity, the psychological warfare.

'It truly did not have anything to do with me it had everything to do with a person that is use to be in control of those around him,' she said about Haskell.

Haskell originally welcomed Hagen into his own family and she was even invited to spend a week with his children in Oxford, Mississippi.

'I spent a lot of time with him and his wife Mary,' she said. 'He often said that I felt like another daughter with him.'

Mallory Hagen, Miss America 2013, was the target of a ruthless smear campaign by Sam Haskell Sr that left her feeling desperate and suicidal 'One night, I drank a lot of alcohol and stood on top of my building. And if it wasn't for the relationship with my parents I would have probably made a very different decision,' she said in an explosive A&E documentary

Things went downhill when Hagen began dating Haskell's assistant, Brent Adams, (which is something that is frowned upon in the unofficial pageant rules).

'[Haskell] told me, "You don't need to date a piece of trash like her, you need someone with class and elegance and money like my daughter,"' Adams recalled to A&E.

'Sam threatened to fire me several times if didn't stop dating Mallory,' he continued, adding that Haskell called her 'a slut' and 'horrible person.'

'It was about control. He controls everything and everyone else in his life, and if you go against him, you’re cut out,' he added.

Sam Haskell became CEO of Miss America in 2005, after rising through the ranks as a Hollywood power broker at William Morris where he represented a long roster of talent from George Clooney, to Dolly Parton and HRH Prince Edward.

According to a number of former Miss Americas, Haskell began a ruthless smear campaign against Hagen that targeted her reputation and career ambitions.

Claire Buffie Adkisson, Miss New York 2010, recalled hearing rumors that Hagan had 'slept with someone in every state she was visiting as Miss America.'

Neighbors of Sam Haskell Jr have claimed he 'seemed weird' as they reacted to his arrest 'The husband - something seemed so off,' said one neighbor. 'Something seemed so weird. I thought maybe he was sick, or something was wrong. All I said was, I kept saying to my family, something is wrong with him'

In one email, Haskell mocked images of Hagan, calling her 'huge and gross.' In a meeting with CBS, he called her a 'whore' and 'trailer trash.' He also spread rumors about her sex life, claiming that slept with 'someone new in every state,' which eventually led to her loosing job opportunities in the entertainment industry

After her tenure as Miss America was over, Hagen moved to LA where she hoped to segue her career into TV hosting.

She took meetings with ABC executives and producers from 'Dancing With the Stars,' but offers kept disappearing. 'It doesn't make any sense.'

Later she learned that Haskell called her a 'whore' and 'trailer trash' in a meeting with CBS, and claimed that she was trying to hook up with The Bachelor host, Chris Harrison.

In private emails that were leaked between Haskell and the Miss America telecast lead writer Lewis Friedman, Haskell joked how they were 'the only ones not to have f****d Mallory.'

Haskell wrote that his assistant, Brent Adams 'needs to have a blood test because we lost count of the number of men she [Hagen] slept with at 25.'

He also mocked body as being 'gross' and 'huge,' and that he planned to 'convince the Formers to ostracize her.'

Haskell's viscous campaign against Hagen eventually became too much to bear.

'There was a lot of time that I did not want to be here anymore,' she tearfully confessed to A&E.

Her lowest moment, she says, came the day she 'drank a lot of alcohol' and went up to the roof of her building. 'And if it wasn't for my relationship with my parents. I probably would have made a very different decision than I did.'
