Staying in shape is supposed to get harder once you reach middle-age, but Minnie Driver belied her age on Thursday by stepping out looking trim and toned.
The 43-year-old actress had clearly been hitting the gym before calling into Lassen’s Natural Food and Vitamins in Los Angeles for a bag of groceries – and the regular work-outs are clearly having the desired effect.
Dressed in a tight black vest, matching leggings and green flip-flops, Minnie sipped on a fruit juice from the health food chain as she made her way back to her car, her eyes hidden behind a pair of large sunglasses.

Having clearly been hitting the treadmill hard, the mother-of-one had the slender, athletic build of a woman half-her-age.
While she may be in the best shape of her life, health-conscious Minnie admits he weight plummeted when she found fame in the early ‘90’s.
‘I definitely went a bit bonkers in my early 20’s, when I got famous quite quickly,’ she told Stylist magazine in 2012. ‘Bonkers in a way where I didn’t eat enough, I drank too much coffee, smoked too many cigarettes, cried a lot and was very emotional.’
Youthful: Minnie is 43, but she has the body of a woman 20 years younger thanks to her rigorous work-outs

She added: ‘My sister showed up one day and said, ‘I don’t recognise you. You weigh 98 pounds and you’re behaving like an idiot. I came back to England and sorted myself out.
‘Hollywood is portrayed in this super glamorous way, but when you see pictures of actresses going off the rails, it doesn’t surprise me. You have to have solid family and friends.’
