Spring is in the air — and one celebrity who's prepared for the warmer weather is the newly shorn Maggie Gyllenhaal. The Brooklyn-based mom of two recently cut her hair into a chic pixie, joining stylish stars Michelle Williams, Anne Hathaway, Ginnifer Goodwin, Charlize Theron and Miley Cyrus in the short-and-sweet category.

The Won't Back Down actress, 35, was first spotted with her new hairstyle on Friday, March 22 as she arrived at LAX in Los Angeles. Gyllenhaal, wearing oversized shades and a denim shirt, toted daughter Gloria, 11 months, in an Ergo carrier, while big sis Ramona, 6, strolled next to them.

On Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last summer, the bohemian star explained why she and husband Peter Sarsgaard named their second-born Gloria. "We thought of her name when were at this concert that Patti Smith played at…she played [a cover of Van Morrison's] 'Gloria.' It was a couple of years ago and we just thought, 'Maybe we'll name our daughter that one day.' "
