Ex-Corrie star Lucy-Jo Hudson's confidence has hit an all-time high in a new sexy lingerie photo shoot.

The 25-year-old actress, who played rebel Katy Harris for three years in the long-running soap, shows off her stunning body in a lacy bodysuit, reminiscent of supermodel Kate Moss in a 2006 advertising campaign for Agent Provocateur.

In that short film directed by Mike Figgis, Moss poses on a flight of stairs wearing black lingerie, suspenders and gloves.

Hudson, who also played vet Rosie Trevanion in ITV drama Wild At Heart, strikes the same seductive pose in her shoot for Closer magazine.

Speaking about the experience, Hudson said she felt she had grown up.

'I’ve learnt so much in the last few years. I feel like I’ve finally become a woman and have that confidence from getting older.'

It's a new-found confidence for the actress who piled on the weight when she played Katy Harris in Corrie. After a strict exercise and diet regime, Hudson is keen to show off her slim, toned size 8 figure.

'I’m very confident about my new body now and think I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in.

'I’m ready to play much sexier, more grown-up roles. I’d love to be in a West End show like Chicago or Mamma Mia!, or in a period drama.'

Hudson turned to her brother Ryan Hudson, a rugby league star who plays for the Castleford Tigers to help her shed the pounds.

As a sportsman and personal trainer, he helped his sister re-evaluate her eating habits and get back into exercise.

Hudson told Closer: 'When I ate stodge and ready meals, I had no energy and felt tired and sluggish, but eating smaller, lighter meals has made a huge difference.

'Now I’m always full and never reach for cakes or puddings.'

Another incentive for healthier approach to life, is Hudson's impending wedding to Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall.

The full interview appears in this week’s Closer magazine, on sale today.
